Key Dates

Whether you're hoping to join one of our training programmes or meet up with us at a careers fair or to see if we are coming to your university in the near future, you'll need to know where to be and when.

We've also provided some hints and tips on how to make your application as successful as possible.

Application Deadlines

Please apply for Retail Management and Human Resources positions as early as possible. The closing dates below are provisional and may change:

  • Human Resources - 4th January 2008
  • Graduate Retail Management Programmes - 17th April 2008
  • Retail Management Trainee Programme (A-Level) - 17th April 2008
  • Finance - positions are available all year around but we would encourage you to apply as early as possible

Buying, merchandising and distribution positions are recruited for all year round. Please apply for these positions close to the date you are available to start work.

Some hints and tips when applying to Arcadia Group:

  • Our buying, merchandising and distribution programmes recruit all year round. The application process for the programmes is as follows: you will be required to create a profile and then attach your CV and a covering letter to send to us. Please make sure your covering letter explains why you want to work for Arcadia and what attracts you to the particular role you are applying for.
  • Please do not apply for more than one role at a time. We are looking for focused candidates who have thoroughly researched our positions and have decided which position suits their skills/abilities.
  • As emphasised above, research is key - this site contains detailed information on what we look for in successful applications for each role. Read through this thoroughly before completing the application form / CV and plan your answers.
  • If you are applying for the Retail Management scheme (both Graduate and School Leaver) please ensure where relevant you back up any statements you make with specific evidence - give examples of when you've put your skills into practice, give evidence of your actions, tell us why they were effective and don't forget to tell us the outcome.
  • If you are completing an application form make sure you've completed all sections of the form: if you fail to complete all sections of the form correctly this could cause a delay in your application getting to the next stage.
  • Double check all spelling and grammar and get someone to read through the form / CV before submitting it.
  • Ensure you save your application before you forward it to us. If you are successful and are invited along to an assessment centre or interview, it will be useful for you to re-read your answers / CV.
