Introducing HR

With 27,000 employees, Arcadia Group has a population similar to that of a small town. Recruiting, training and developing those people are the responsibilities of the Human Resources teams within the brands and Group Support functions.

Within each brand it is down to this team to research, introduce and maintain the best possible standards in employee relations and the most effective development processes.

Complementing them is a team of specialists who focus on areas such as employee relations, reward, management development and group resourcing - so you might even find yourself helping people at the same stage of their career where you find yourself right now.

Your Development

Based in London, the HR programme is designed to provide you with exposure across the key areas of our business. You’ll have three placements, each lasting six months, focusing on retail, head office and group HR. These will allow you to get experience across the key facets of HR, for example resourcing, employee relations and learning and development.

As you move around your placements, you’ll have the opportunity to work with different teams in different brands, which will equip you with the skills and behaviours you’ll need to be successful in moving into your first permanent role after the programme, ideally at officer level.

The content of the programme is a crucial mix of on the job learning and project work.

We also provide sponsorship for a Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) qualification.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need to be a professional, committed individual with a keen interest in retail. A degree in an HR-related subject and relevant work experience are preferred.

Starting Salary
