The Special Events team works closely with Marketing and PR and organises numerous key events throughout the year, including fashion roadshows, new store openings and charity events.

Events Officer, Group Marketing and Events
"My role involves receiving events briefs from the brands and putting together pitches and proposals, organising press trips, controlling budgets on various scales, industry and trend research, venue finding for press events, food and beverage selection and research, searching for sponsors and third party collaborations. Generally I carry out a huge amount of research, whilst overseeing the Group Marketing and Events Co-ordinator and Industrial Placement.
Success in Events requires diplomacy, organisation skills, negotiation, attention to detail and the ability to multi task on numerous projects all taking place simultaneously. It's a really challenging role where every day is different and working across all seven brands means I get great exposure to various parts of the business.
I started at Arcadia on one month's work experience in November 2005 in the Group Marketing and Events department. I was invited back for an interview for the Co-ordinator position in March 2006 and was offered the job a month later. Six months on I was promoted to the Events Officer, which is the role I am currently in.
Arcadia is a company that offers great opportunities. It's a lot of hard work but it's well worth it in the end and extremely rewarding being part of one of the largest high street fashion retailers and I'm proof that you can work your way to your desired role."
