Retail Management Trainee Programme
Our Retail Management Trainee Programme (MTP) is tailor made for you. Starting with a national induction event, we'll give you a thorough grounding in all our businesses and how we work. Then you'll based in a store to learn on the job, supported by a series of development workshops and placements in other stores.
During the 12-month programme you'll work alongside established teams and managers in our stores. You'll learn how to develop and manage your own team in preparation for your first role as a store manager. You'll become a customer service expert and understand how to drive your store's performance by making it look its best and delivering promotions and offers.
Your Development
Your development will consist of a mix of on and off the job training. You'll learn about the store operation from experienced store managers and attend workshops which focus on core skills such as successful management and personal impact. To ensure that you're on the right track you'll have regular progress check meetings with your manager where you can discuss your development. Your training programme will enable you to become confident in managing your store, its profits and a team.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Learning how to develop and manage your team
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Maximising sales
- Liaison with Head Office functions, e.g. Buying, Merchandising, Distribution and Finance
- Visual Merchandising - so your store is really the best on the high street
- Marketing, e.g. in-store promotions, special offers, card holder events
- Networking opportunities, meeting regularly with trainees across other brands as well as attending regional and national events with senior managers

What are our education requirements?
- You need to have achieved or be studying for at least 2 A-Levels/4 AS Levels or the equivalent
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at grades A to C
Salary & Benefits
- From £13,350 to £15,350 per year (depending on location)
