Our people work hard for us at Arcadia and, in return, it's our aim to ensure that they are recognised and rewarded for the role they play in our success.

Pay

We ensure what we pay is competitive in the marketplace by regularly benchmarking our salaries and carrying out reviews of our pay scales in line with current market rates.

We also review our employees' pay as they develop their skill levels through the achievement of set competencies. We are committed to recognising and rewarding individual performance and development through our annual appraisal process.

Bonus

We like to recognise our teams' efforts and reward their successes so we run a number of discretionary, non-contractual bonus schemes to add to their basic pay and benefits.

Whether they are working in a store or in Head Office, Arcadia's people can participate in different bonus schemes according to their role within the business and the profitability of the Group or brand in which they work.

Benefits

We have compiled a very attractive benefits package, here's a flavour of what's on offer:

  • Holidays - all our employees are entitled to paid holiday. These increase over time to reward loyalty, and this is pro-rated for our part time employees. Also, to provide greater choice and flexibility, employees who work at Head Office can opt for Holiday Trading, in which you have the choice to buy or sell up to five days holiday. If an employee opts to sell holiday, they are not entitled to sell more than the statutory minimum amount of holidays they are required to take.
  • Lifestyle - we offer maternity, paternity and adoption leave to prospective parents.
  • Pension Plan - all our employees are eligible to join the Arcadia Stakeholder Pension plan as soon as they join us. After 12 months, the company will also make contributions on their behalf at which time they also become a member of the Life Assurance scheme.
  • Discounts - Arcadia employees receive a very generous 25% discount on all Arcadia Group merchandise, as well as 20% on BHS merchandise. Not only that, we have also negotiated a range of employee discounts with a variety of external companies.
  • Help us find good people - by recommending a friend our employees can earn extra cash if that person joins our business.
  • Getting around - we offer an interest free season ticket loan to all our employees who work in Head Office, which is repayable in monthly instalments to spread the cost of travel.

As their career progresses with Arcadia, our people may become eligible to participate in our Flexible Reward scheme. This gives them the opportunity to select benefits that suit their lifestyle and circumstances. Many of our benefits that fall under this scheme give employees the chance to add family members, for example, our private medical insurance and travel insurance. Examples of other benefits we offer are; company cars, health screening, and concierge service.
