Maintaining the initial enthusiasm for our Green Champions initiative has proven to be a stretch this year as these representatives across our business endeavour to keep up momentum and ensure that ideas and commitment translate into action.

That said, there have been some inspiring efforts within individual brands. Miss Selfridge hosted a ‘Green Week’ in the autumn of 2011, which drew colleagues’ attention on how to be more environmentally friendly at work. The head office team took part in inter-departmental challenges, laying down the gauntlet to say ‘we’re greener than you’.
