Colour is key this season, with strong sharp shades of yellows, oranges and pinks stealing the show. The canary yellow two piece shows off the key skirt shape of Spring, with the cropped matching tee giving the flirty finish which is true to the Miss S handwriting. Pink is here to stay, whether it’s adorned with heavy beading on short shorts or mixed with black for a perfectly printed shift dress. Bright botanical florals and in-house designed digital prints lend themselves to coordinates, encouraging top to toe statement dressing.
Ice-cream colours give grown up tailoring and simple clean shapes a girly feel. Soft leatherette fabrics refresh a sixties shift dress and matching skirt and top combo in the prettiest of pastel tones. While ovoid lightweight jackets in yellow, pink and powder blue give a transitional look a spring injection. Slip dresses and camisoles continue to be key, giving a modern take on the feminine looks of the season and ‘hint of a tint’ shades of mints and lilacs update delicate lace.
Our Neo Geo trend is an eclectic mix of patterns, prints and colourful heavy tribal-style beading. The high neck cropped tee is the perfect statement separate, it can be mixed with other vibrant pieces or paired back with a simple trouser. Oriental, aztec and tribal influences have been fused together, creating the ‘around the world’ experience. The dresses and evening separates are dripping in embellishment, but the sharp clean lines give them a fresh new feel.
The new Sports Luxe shapes such as the jogger, skort and wide sleeve cropped tee give casual dressing a slick new direction. Eveningwear has been kept clean, in particular the orange drop waist dress and the cerise ruffle neck dress. The tailored black jumpsuit with matching tux jacket adds sophisticated grown up glamour to the trend.
The Spring collection launches in-store and online from February 2014.
