Wallis Occasionwear – Summer 2008

This season’s chic dresses, feminine suiting and full skirts are the epitome of summer occasionwear style - from the highlights of Ascot and Henley through to weddings and relaxed garden parties, Wallis offers a range of show-stopping outfits to suit any event.

A natural colour palette of ivory, brown and cream is used on delicate fabrics and understated prints. The polka dot chiffon dress is perfect for making a statement at the races - pretty satin kitten heels and sleek cover-ups will complete the winning look.

Wallis tailoring is sophisticated and stylish, guaranteeing a slim silhouette. In luxurious summer fabrics such as grosgrain and linen and with contemporary finishing details including corsages, pleats and bows, the tailoring range is ideal for weddings or more formal events.

Bold floral prints run riot over 1950’s prom dresses and flattering full skirts, in a striking colour palette of simple monochrome shot through with bursts of fuchsia pink. Strapless dresses are worn with delicate jewellery and fine knits for a sophisticated feel. Classic black wide-leg trousers are given a modern, feminine makeover when teamed with graphic print satin tops or floral bustiers.

Accessories have a lavish vintage feel to them – key items include the elegantly embellished clutch bags or satin clutch with corsage, while continuing with 1950’s ladylike chic, whispy printed silk scarves are tied around the neck.
