Fashion Footprint
In 2007 Arcadia Group launched a major new initiative - Fashion Footprint - renewing our commitment to being a socially responsible retailer. The programme has been established to ensure that social responsibility remains integral to the Group's strategy, to monitor its implementation and maintain and improve performance each year.
The Fashion Footprint Group is led by people who hold senior management positions within the business. They have been charged with ensuring our social responsibilities are aligned with the business' activities.
Ten separate workstreams have been established to draw up and deliver policies in key areas of activity; from energy efficiency to supplier ethics, and from transport to charitable giving. The move comes when there is also a growing awareness among our brands' customers on ethical and environmental issues.
Quick wins have already been identified and a number of working parties have been formed to push ahead in all areas.
Arcadia Group has already made considerable progress in a number of areas, including reducing the environmental impact of the Group's transport fleet, the Supplier Code of Conduct and energy consumption.
