Specialist Schools

Arcadia Group first announced its support of Specialist Schools in 2004. At the time it became a key business partner to 50 secondary schools across the UK, supporting them in their bid to gain specialist status as business and enterprise colleges.

We have invested in those schools that achieved specialist status and created a team of Arcadia volunteers, who have become the business' link with each school. The schools operate like any other, delivering the National Curriculum, but specialise in business and enterprise. Our volunteers are frequently to be found at their local partner school, setting challenges or taking part in events such as catwalk shows, presentations and competitions.

Arcadia Group supports these schools because we are passionate about being involved in the education of young people and the development of their entrepreneurial and business skills. It's also an opportunity to promote retailing as a rewarding and fulfilling career, builds links to the local community and raises our brands' profile among young people.
