Arcadia's supply chain stretches across 60 countries, so logistics is an area of the business where there is a great deal to be achieved in terms of reducing impact.

Our fleet is made up of modern vehicles, using the latest engine technology with the best fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

Stock is selected across our brands in our three distribution centres to bring together a single deliver for a town or area so that one driver can deliver to all our stores and concessions on one vehicle.

Our transport partner currently operates 100 vehicles that employ a box system to carry a mix of product across the brands, reducing the number of vehicles on the road. And 380 of our stores receive stock out of hours, reducing congestion and boosting efficiency.

Software is used to make sure our deliveries are planned in the most efficient way. Vital when you consider that there are over 5,000 deliveries made each week to 2,500 stores by our partner's fleet.

In Bristol the Group is taking part in a consolidation programme, using an electric vehicle to deliver to our stores in the city centre. All stock is delivered into a central location just outside the city where stock is transferred on to the eco-friendly truck and moved to our stores from there.
