On the 1st of July Arcadia joined forces with Global Fashion Exchange (GFX) at the V&A museum to host a clothing swap which aimed to raise awareness of sustainable fashion and re-using unwanted textiles. Those attending could also participate in a schedule of pop up talks.
GFX works to drive consumers to renew their wardrobe without waste to save the environment through sustainability in the fashion industry by swapping and upscaling their unwanted clothes.
Arcadia Group was the sole fashion brand partner at the event and donated merchandise for the clothing swap from all eight brands: Burton Menswear, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Outfit Kids, Topman, Topshop and Wallis.
The partnership with GFX was a great alignment of our Fashion Footprint Program which incorporates the social and environmental dimensions of the way Arcadia Group manages the business and supply chain.
