Fashion industry and style expert, Brix Smith Start, has joined forces with Evans to give her fashion knowledge and style advice, to ensure you are curve confident for the new spring season.

With a passion for fashion, Brix will have a keen eye on your wardrobe and customers will be able to get up to the minute seasonal guidance on new trends, through to shape busting styling tips.

Talking about her partnership with Evans Brix says, "I am so excited to be working with Evans. I love that they champion real women and support and work with young designers. I really believe that style should never be restricted by shape. Fashion should be inclusive to everyone and never marginalising. Women who feel they look great, are more confident and positive and really do become magnets for success and happiness."

Brix has become one of the most recognizable faces in fashion, having worked on C4’s runaway smash ‘Gok’s Fashion Fix’, pitting her high end outfits against the bespectacled stylist’s high street pick.  She has also been a previous regular on Lorraine’s ‘What’s Hot, What’s Not’ for ITV, as well as handing out valuable fashion tips on ITV’s ‘This Morning’.

CONTENT_PRESS_Lady_Leopard_Print_Top.jpgBrix soon stepped into her own in the exciting six part smash hit series ‘Promzillas’ for Sky Living and has most recently been seen in the exciting series ‘Ultimate Shopper’ and it’s follow up ‘Shopaholic Showdown’, both which premiered on TLC. Following this she also hosted an online series exclusively for Vidal Sassoon following three bloggers who travelled to the UK to experience a VIP makeover courtesy of James Rowe.

Excitingly in 2013 for the first time ever, fashion from Royal Ascot was integrated within the 30 hours of programming and lead by Brix herself live, exclusively for Channel 4. Covering the highs and lows of Ascot fashion, Brix was joined by a mix of guests from designers, milliners and fashion industry professionals to appear across the week.

Commenting on the partnership Fiona Ross, Brand Director for Evans says, “Evans have a host of exciting projects for the spring season and having Brix on board will be a fantastic way to give our customer the advice she craves.  She is the perfect brand advocate and we feel that she can relate to women in an honest way, while giving them confidence in themselves and their wardrobes.”

In addition Evans will be the headline sponsor of Plus Size Fashion Weekend, a ground breaking event that times with London Fashion Week.  We are thrilled to have leading plus model, Whitney Thompson (winner of America’s Next Top Model) in London to help promote the event and appear on the runway modelling the latest SS14 Evans collections.

To kick start Plus Size Fashion Weekend we are also launching the winning collections from our student design competition, CUT for Evans.  Brix will be introducing the winners at an exclusive event at our Marble Arch Flagship store on Wednesday 12th February.  Plus, Curvy, Voluptuous, Shapely - there are lots of words to describe a larger figure.  Irrespective of size, all women want beautifully designed clothes and hope CUT for Evans will help to inspire and be ahead of the curve in fashion for future generations.

We are committed to providing the right fashion solutions and aspiration for our customer.  Evans believe that the on-going ‘shape’ debate’ only helps women of differing sizes define what they want from fashion within the media and retail industry.
